Course Overview

This unit specifies the outcomes required to perform basic rigging work associated with movement of plant and equipment, steel erections, hoists (including mast climbing hoists), placement of pre-cast concrete, safety nets and static lines, perimeter safety screens and shutters; and cantilever crane loading platforms for licensing purposes.

Entry Requirements

Participants must be able to read and write in English and be above 18 years old.

Target Group

Appropriate for those working in operational roles where they are required to perform rigging.

Pre-requisites

CPCCLDG3001A Licence to perform dogging.

Modes of Delivery

On-site delivery or Perth based.

Number of Participants

Up to 8 per class.

Duration

Four (4) to Five (5) days depending on participants' experience and class numbers.

Assessment

Your assessment will be comprised of a number of tasks which will include some of the following;

  • Theory
  • Practical Demonstration

Outcome

WorkSafe Licence & Nationally recognised Statement of Attainment.
