Course Overview

This qualification will provide Graduates with a solid understanding of key aspects of safety as relevant to Australian workplaces. This will include how to contribute to workplace health and safety hazards identification, ensure compliance with WHS laws, respond to incidents and contribute to implementing and maintaining WHS systems in the workplace.

Target Group

This qualification is suitable for those who wish to participate in WHS as a supervisor or provide support for WHS in an organisation.
this program provides the skills and knowledge for a trained safety officer using the latest workplace health and safety legislation.

Entry Requirements

Reasonable language, literacy and numeracy skills.

In house customised programs.
Blended external delivery with significant support

Up to 20 per class.

Duration

Facilitated workshop (10 days) over 12 months.
Training duration will depend on the individual (Their skills, knowledge and experience.)

Course details

The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is a nationally accredited program which provides graduates  with the skills and knowledge needed to perform a health and safety role and/or task within an organisation.
Australia's Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is the current industry standards for safety professionals and is the minimum requirement sought after employers.

BSBWHS404 - Contribute to WHS Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment & Risk Control.
BSBWHS402 - Assist with Compliance with WHS Laws
BSBWHS403 - Contribute to Implementing and Maintaining Consultation and Participation Processes
BSBWHS406- Assist with Responding to Incidents
BSBWHS405- Contribute to Implementing and Maintaining WHS Management Systems

ELECTIVE UNITS

BSBHWHS410 - Contribute to Work-related Health and Safety Measures and Initiatives
BSBWHS407 - Assist with Claims Management, Rehabilitation and Return to Work
TAEDEL401 - Provide Work Skill Instruction
BSBMGT401 -  Show Leadership in the Workplace
BSBPMG522 - Undertake Project Work

Assignment based.
